Beer Presentation #2 - La Binchoise Blonde (Belgium)
In my second presentation, I would like to present first Belgian beer. I think that this one is unknown or not well known to beer lovers cause it is local beer from area where I live. My today's choice is:
La Binchoise Blonde

Style of this beer: Belgian Blond Ale - these style is described as "a light variation on pale ale, often made with pilsner malt. Some beer writers regard blonde and golden ales as distinct styles, while others do not."
COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Also known as La Binchoise Blonde with a 6.2% abv. Available with two labels - Blonde in Wallonia and Fakir in Flanders and Canada. Though it is also relabelled as La Molagnarde Blonde. This is a particularly good blonde beer with lots of strong, clean citric hop character throughout. The orange peel that is included amongst the ingredients tends to only come through in the nose. We find this beer is great when served straight from the fridge as a little of the freshness is lost as it warms up.
I drank this beer couple years ago, so it is a reason why there is old etiquette on main picture, two years ago brewery logo and etiquettes had been rebranded, current one you can see below. In my personal opinion it was a good idea. Brewery offers guided tours for visitors, to discover its story, brewing and filtering processes, various La Binchoise beers… and of course, you could taste their beers.
How I noted La Binchoise Blonde?
Beautiful transparent gold color and a beautiful bright white foam that rises like a champagne to stabilize several centimetres. For a blonde, deep, fine aromas and complex. On the palate, beautiful smooth texture all round, body, medium carbonation, slight bitterness. Fresh hops nose, lemon, citrus peel, hay. Mouth quite fruity, fine bubble, soft and fresh finish if not long. A beer of thirst.
In my opinion in scale from 1 to 10, it is:
6.2

I hope you enjoyed my first presentation.
