[EN] Anyone who has been following my adventures will remember that during a walk on Saturday in the Bois de Ghlin, I discovered the ruins of an old mine in a forest thicket. When I returned home, I searched the internet for information about this place. It was not easy, because first of all there were no signs on google maps, and queries to Google like "Baudour+mine" did not give any sensible results, only thanks to the query: "forest Baudour+history" I came across the history of the mysterious tunnels in the forest - Les tunnels inclinés de Baudour.

[PL] Każdy kto śledzi moje przygody pamięta, że podczas spaceru w sobotę po Bois de Ghlin odkryłem w leśnym gąszczu ruiny starej kopalni. Po powrocie do domu wyszukałem w internecie informacje o tym miejscu. Nie było to łatwe, bo po pierwsze nie było żadnych oznaczeń na mapach Googla, a zapytania do Google typu "Baudour+kopalnia" nie dawały żadnych sensownych wyników, dopiero dzięki zapytaniu: "las Baudour+historia" trafiłem na trop i historię tajemniczych tuneli w lesie - Les tunnels inclinés de Baudour.

[EN] The story and the place interested me so much that I shared the discovery with my colleagues and at the earliest possible date, today, we returned to the forest of Ghlin to explore the tunnels. After some temporary problems due to confusing the path, we arrived at the right path that led to the mine ruins.

[PL] Historia i miejsce tak mnie zaciekawiło, że podzieliłem się odkryciem ze swoim kolegom i w najbliższym możliwym terminie, czyli dziś, wróciliśmy do lasu w Ghlin na eksploracje tuneli. Po chwilowych problemach, które wynikły z pomylenia drogi, dotarliśmy na właściwą ścieżkę, która prowadziła do ruin kopalni.

[EN] We descended about 60-70 metres into one of the two tunnels, then there was a wall with an opening through which we could go further, but we decided that it was too dangerous. Especially as there were clouds of steam behind the wall, and when I put my hand in there I could feel the temperature rising. From the historical factsheet, I found on the website "Les tunnels de Baudour", we learned that the mine was closed because of the discovery of hot springs and further exploitation endangered the lives of the miners.

[PL] Zeszliśmy około 60-70 metrów w głąb jednego z dwóch tuneli, dalej była ściana z otworem przez któy można by było wejść dalej, ale stwierdziliśmy, że to już jest zbyt niebezpieczne. Szczególnie, że za ścianą unosiły się kłęby pary, po włożeniu tam ręki wyczuwalny był wzrost temperatury. Z historycznego rysu, który znalazłem na stronie "Les tunnels de Baudour" dowiedzieliśmy się, że kopalnia została zamknięta w zwiazku ze znalezieniem gorących źródeł i dalsza eksploatacja zagrażała życiu górników.

[EN] The entrance to the second tunnel is fenced off with a grating, but there is an opening through which even a grown man could squeeze through, but when we shone our torches inside the tunnel, it turned out that already in the upper part there were clouds of steam. Here, too, we did not risk going further. What we saw outside was enough for us.

[PL] Wejście do drugiego tunelu jest zagrodzone kratą, jest tam jednak otwór przez który nawet dorosły mężczyzna mógłby się przecisnąć, ale kiedy poświeciliśmy latarkami do wnętrza tunelu okazało się, że już w górnej części są kłęby pary. Tu również nie ryzykowaliśmy wchodzenia dalej. Wystarczyło nam to co zobaczyliśmy na zewnątrz.
