Daily Raport... Salut biloute!... [PL/EN]

Tym razem do Francji wybraliśmy się na zakupy, ale korzystając z pięknej pogody wybraliśmy się na krótki spacer po Valenciennes. Dość często jeździmy tam na zakupy, ale w centrum byliśmy raz czy dwa, i wtedy zawsze pogoda nie sprzyjała. Dziś było pięknie, słonecznie i samo miasto zrobiło na nas dobre wrażenie, co prawda dość ciasna zabudowa w centrum może przytłaczać, ale z drugiej strony widać, że włodarze tego miasta dbają o zachowanie jedności architektonicznej. Bryły i fasady nowych budynków nawiązują do sąsiadujących starszych z przełomu XIX i XX wieku. Miasto jest w rejonie "ch'ti" o którym mowa we wspomnianym przeze mnie filmie "Jeszcze dalej niż północ", ale nie wiem jak to kultury "ch'ti" ma się kebab, a taki znaleźliśmy na spacerze. Dotychczas kuchnia "ch'ti" kojarzyła mi się z dość specyficznymi serami, ale kto wie, świat się zmienia :)

Rano jeszcze przed wyjazdem na zakupy byłem u swojego fryzjera, korzystając z okazji zajrzałem na cmentarz wojenny w Saint-Symphorien.

ENG This time we went shopping in France, but taking advantage of the beautiful weather we went for a short walk to centre of Valenciennes. We went there quite often for shopping, but in the center we were once or twice, and then the weather was always not good. Today it was beautiful, sunny and the city itself made a good impression on us, although the rather tight buildings in the center may overwhelm us, but on the other hand, you can see that the city's rulers care about preserving the architectural unity. The bodies and facades of the new buildings refer to the neighboring older ones from the turn of the 19th and 20th century. The city is in the area of "ch'ti" mentioned in the film "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis" mentioned by me, but I don't know how to have a "ch'ti" culture, and we found one on a walk. Until now, "ch'ti" cuisine was associated with quite specific cheeses, but who knows, the world is changing :)
In the morning before we went shopping I was at my hairdresser's, and I took the opportunity to look at the war cemetery in Saint-Symphorien.
