Znacie powiedzenie "głupia jak gęś"? Dziś mogliśmy z żoną doświadczyć, że jest ono bardzo krzywdzące dla tych ptaków. Zatrzymaliśmy się nieopodal zamku w Havre, gdzie na "wypasa się" stado zdziczałych gęsi. Kiedy tylko wysiedliśmy z samochodu i ruszyliśmy w stronę zamku, niemal całe stadu ruszyło w naszą stronę. Jedna z gęsi wysforowała się zdecydowanie do przodu. Nie raz widziałem, jak są one dokarmiane zimą przez ludzi, pomyślałem więc, że wyczekiwały na karmienie. Większość stada gdy zobaczyła, że oprócz telefonu nie mam nić w ręku przestała się mną interesować.

ENG You know the saying "gooseless"? Today my wife and I could experience that it is very harmful to these birds. We parked near Havre Castle, where a flock of geese "graze". As soon as we got out of the car and moved towards the castle, almost the entire flock moved in our direction. One of the geese definitely moved forward. Many times I saw them being fed by people in winter, so I thought that they were waiting for feeding. Most of the flock, when they saw that apart from the phone I had nothing else in my hand, stopped being interested in us.

Poszliśmy z żoną na długi spacer wokół lasu w Havre (tego gdzie strzelają), a gdy wróciliśmy do samochodu, akurat przyjechali ludzie, którzy mieli wiadro z pokarmem. Gęsi natychmiast jak ich zobaczyli ruszyli w ich stronę, a gdy zobaczyły wiadro to dosłownie zaczęły biec jak najszybciej w ich stronę. Wyglądało to zabawnie i wspaniale jednocześnie, bo ptaki nie atakowały karmiących tylko posłusznie czekały na karmienie ustawiając się gęsiego.

ENG My wife and I went for a long walk around the forest in Havre (the one where they were shooting), and when we returned to the car, people who had a bucket of food just arrived. As soon as they saw them, the geese moved towards them, and when they saw the bucket, they literally started running towards them. It looked funny and wonderful at the same time, because the birds did not attack the feeders, but obediently waited for feeding by positioning the geese.
