Daily Raport... [PL] jarmark świąteczny / [EN] Christmas market

Zrobiłem sobie dziś dzień odpoczynku. Po południu poszliśmy na główny plac w Mons gdzie rozstawione są od wczoraj stragany świątecznego jarmarku. Niestety nie znajdziemy tam znanych z Polski pierniczków, ale są za to belgijskie gofry i oczywiście grzane wino w różnych odmianach, wszystkich naraz nie dało się spróbować, resztę będę musiał spróbować następnym razem.

ENG I took a rest day today. In the afternoon we went to the main square in Mons, where the stalls of the Christmas fair have been set up since yesterday. Unfortunately, we won't find there any ginger thins known from Poland, but there are Belgian waffles and of course mulled wine in different varieties, all of them couldn't be tasted at once, the rest I will have to try next time.

Przez przypadek odkryliśmy, że w ratuszu jest kiermasz rękodzieła, gdzie rzemieślnicy sprzedawali swoje własne wyroby, niektóre były naprawdę bardzo ładne i ciekawe, jak na przykład kolczyki ze skamielinami z niedalekiej jaskini w Spiennes albo bardzo ładne abażury i lampy ze sklejki.

ENG By chance we discovered that there is a craft fair in the town hall, where craftsmen sold their own products, some were really very nice and interesting, such as earrings with fossils from a nearby cave in Spiennes or very nice lampshades and lamps made of plywood.

Po południu co raz więcej ludzi zbierało się na placu, pojawili się również orkiestra Mikołajów, a kolejka do zdjęcia z Mikołajem i panią Mikołajową była bardzo długa. Ciekawe czy również prezenty dawali?

ENG In the afternoon, more and more people gathered in the square, the Santa Claus Orchestra appeared, and the queue to take a picture with Santa Clausand and his wife was very long. I wonder if they also gave gifts?
