Daily Raport... [PL] w poszukiwaniu Mikołaja / [EN] looking for St. Nicolas

Co prawda mieliśmy dziś pojechać do Maastricht, ale plany się zmieniły, a w zasadzie ja podjąłem decyzję, że zamiast jechać blisko dwie godziny do Maastricht wybierzemy się do niedalekiej Gandawy. Celem tej wyprawy było poszukiwanie prezentów od świętego Mikołaja, czyli po chłopsku zakupy.

ENG We were supposed to go to Maastricht today, but the plans changed, and in fact I decided that instead of going to Maastricht almost two hours in the car we would go to nearby Ghent. The aim of this expedition was to look for presents from Santa Claus, what means shopping.

W zasadzie to celem naszej rodzinnej zakupowej wyprawy miało być francuskie Lille, ale z uwagi na strajki nie wiedzieliśmy czy dojazd do centrum miast będzie możliwy. Z tego względu wybieraliśmy między Maastricht a Gandawą, belgijskie miasto wygrało, bo jest bliżej. Jak bardzo byliśmy w błędzie okazało się w drodze powrotnej, kiedy musieliśmy przedzierać się przez korki na obwodnicy Brukseli. Zapewne jeszcze przed świętami wybierzemy się do Lille, bo świąteczna atmosfera tego miasta jest urzekająca.

ENG In fact, the aim of our family shopping expedition was to French Lille, but due to the strikes we did not know if it would be possible to get to the city center. For this reason we chose between Maastricht and Ghent, the Belgian city won because it is closer. How wrong we were we realized on the way back when we had to get through the traffic jams on the Brussels bypass. Probably before Christmas we will go to Lille, because the Christmas atmosphere of this city is captivating.

Szkoda, że pogoda nie dopisała, w drodze do Gandawy ciągle padał deszcz, dopiero jak wyszliśmy na miasto przestało padać, ale deszczowe chmury zakryły całe niebo. Deszcz był również przyczyna, dla której nie wyszedłem pobiegać rano, ciężko mi było się zmobilizować. Liczę, że jutro po południu będę mógł wyjść na trening.

ENG It is a pity that the weather was not good, on the way to Ghent it was still raining, only after we went out to the city it stopped raining, but the rainy clouds covered the whole sky. The rain was also the reason why I didn't go out for a run in the morning, it was hard for me to mobilize. I hope that tomorrow afternoon I will be able to go to training.
